A Festival of Filipino Culture

by Adrian Marc Soriano

Interface Computer College Manila and Caloocan celebrated the Buwan ng Wika and the General Education Week at the Multi-Purpose Hall from August 25-31, 2017. It is a time to celebrate the rich history, culture and traditions of Filipinos with the theme “Filipino: Wikang Mapagbago”.

Different competitions and activities highlighted the celebration.  School organizations officers had their official oath-taking while the pot-breaking activity also served as a special symbolism of the Filipino culture.

College and Senior High School students showcased their knowledge, skills, ideas, creativity and the Filipino spirit through the Festival Dance, Folk Dance, Interpretative Dance, Spoken Words Poetry, Declamation and Oration Contests. The Hotel and Restaurant Services Skills Competition was also witnessed and enjoyed by Interfacers. Students also participated in the different booths and fun games made thru the efforts of the faculty, staff and school organizations officers.

Song and dance numbers from faculty and student officers were also witnessed that once again proved that Interfacers are talented.
