The Junior and Senior High School Department of the Interface Computer College (ICC) collaborated to hold the First Parents’ Assembly for the school year 2017-2018.

The event, which was attended by the Junior and Senior students along with their respective parents and guardians, was held at the ground floor of the ICC last August 13, 2017. The commencement of the assembly took place around 8:00 in the morning with the help of the Student Coordinating Board (SCB) officers and some Junior High School students. The masters of the ceremony were the SCB Vice Governor Julian Ditchon and Secretary Jecel Malarejes. The assembly was started with a prayer led by Jersey Campana of Grade 10, followed by the welcome message of the School Administrator Ms. Emily M. Dimla.

In the first half of the event, V Villarin of Grade 8 showcased her talent by singing her own rendition of “Tuloy Pa Rin”. The guest speaker, Mrs. Naxidez “Gay” N. Ebarle, an accredited Enabler Speaker and National Convention Speaker of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Philippines was then introduced. She has attended and conducted various seminar-workshops, parenting lectures and spiritual retreats for professionals in different parts of the country. She has also undergone numerous trainings such as the Servant Leadership in Singapore and Teaching and Learning using Biblical Worldview in Sydney, Australia.

Mrs. Gay made the event interesting by sharing her expertise regarding parenting. She emphasized how being a parent is a difficult job among the others, that each one of the children has different personalities which will be the bases in dealing with them. She was able to catch and maintain the audiences’ attention by showing her jolly side using her real-life experiences in which the parents could relate to.

In the latter part of the event, Clyde Manatas of Grade 10 presented his unique talent in dancing. Then report cards were distributed to the parents who were excited to see how well their children performed academically and also how they behave at school.
